How likely is it that will I get seasick? |
Depending on your sensitivity for boat movement here is what
best practice learns: -You may not get seasick at all. We will do everything we can to help you get your "sealegs" before going to sea. - Domicil is a steady ship and does not move or heel as much as some light racing boats would. -Typically we suggest a day and night on the boat to help (your body) get used to the boat movements. After that most people are fine. - Medication: Non-prescription medications include Dramamine and Bonine. Check with your doctor or pharmcist before use. Both must be taken 1 to 2 hours before getting on the boat. These work for many people. There are many non- drowsy formulas available, so you won't miss a moment of enjoyment aboard Domicil! |
What will the sailing be like? |
The wind comes from the east the whole year round with strengths ranging from 10 to 30 knots.
So sailing from Bonaire (east) to Curacao (west) is pretty much a down wind sailing event! These are perfect sailing conditions for any sailing enthusiast and easy conditions for non-sailors. |
Can I change the itinerary? |
The Bonaire - Curacao itinerary is a well planned and proven itinerary.
- Yes you can add as many days as you wish and enjoy a discount on extra days. - Going the other way (Curacao => Bonaire) is against the wind and not recommended - Would you like to sail with Domicil in an other part of the Caribbean? Contact us for a custom itinerary! |
